Farah Ballands is a Partner and Group Head of Fiduciary & Administration Services, overseeing Appleby’s fiduciary, administration and accounting practices in Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, Cayman, Hong Kong, the Isle of Man, Mauritius, and the Seychelles. She is also the Managing Director of the Jersey fiduciary business, Appleby Trust (Jersey) Limited.
Farah specialises in the implementation and administration of corporate employee benefit arrangements. She has extensive knowledge of the use of offshore trust and corporate structures, and has practised in the areas of securitisation, corporate re-structuring and funds work.
Farah joined one of the predecessor firms of Appleby in 2003, having left the firm two and a half years earlier to work at another Jersey practice where she specialised in the implementation and administration of employee benefit structures.
She originally joined Bailhache Labesse in 1993. Farah qualified as an English Barrister in 1996, and re-qualified as a Jersey Solicitor in 1998.
Farah is a member of the Jersey Law Society.
She speaks English and Spanish.
